DIY Fall Decor – Spooky but Sophisticated

I am not going to lie, I love fall. Pumpkin flavored everything is one of my favorite things about fall (and I’m not even saying pumpkin spice). So I’m pretty content to skip the cold that fall can bring. Besides pumpkin, I really, really, REALLY, love Halloween. It is by far one of my favorite days of the year. Because of this, I wanted to share some fun DIY fall decor to kick start the spooky season.

For the Love of All things Spooky

I should make it clear that my love for Halloween and spooky szn might differ from others. For instance, I don’t mind creepy, weird, supernatural type stuff. Like Tim Burton is the man of creepy, I love it. But when you start adding gore, and violence, and “based on true stories” horror type stuff, I’m out. I don’t do that. To put it simply, I’m ok with eerie, but not ok with being scared. (Ask anyone that has ever lived with me, I scare very easily. You can call me to tell me you’re about to walk in the door and when you do, I’ll still jump). So rest assured these DIY fall decor hacks aren’t going to be horrifying but creepy and cool.

Last year I featured some Pink Halloween decorations that I still love!

👻Spooky DIY Fall Decor

Pinterest my go to place for finding basically any DIY. Whether it be fall decor, a clothing tutorial, or meal ideas, Pinterest DIY rains queen. The great thing about Halloween DIY’s is you really can re-purpose a lot of items. I’ll be heading to the thrift store for a lot of these supplies (because let’s be real, it’s so much cheaper). On top of thrift finds being a great price, it also adds a little extra character to the piece. Make up some story about your long lost whatever and give people an eerily good time. (Or you know, just tell them about the bride from haunted mansion).

Thanks to Pinterest there are so many other options that I really just love. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do them all this year. (My boyfriend said that it’s a little weird how into Halloween I am? I don’t get it). Just because I couldn’t sell my soul to the devil to craft doesn’t mean you can’t. Check out these other awesome spooky fall decor ideas.
