Jewel Tones for Fall

While the official start of fall isn’t until later in September, fall mode starts now. Even in Florida, where it’s endless summer, you can feel the air buzzing with fall anticipation. Will we reach fall temperatures while it’s still fall in Florida? Only time will tell. But for now, I’m using jewel tones to help transition me from summer to fall.

Yellow Jewel Tones

Since the likelihood of me actually getting to wear fall sweaters and other cozy fashion is slim, I have to make do with what I have. One of my favorite tips for transitioning from summer to fall, regardless of where you are from, is to start to incorporate fall colors into your wardrobe. Usually I go with more muted tones like browns. But this year, I wanted to give jewel tones a try. Jewel tones consist of rich blues, purples, reds, and yellows. While yellow is a lesser recognized jewel tone, I absolutely love it for transitioning to fall. It’s still bright for summer, but rich enough to be worn as a fall color.

The details of this dress are just impeccable. I love the sleeves and the delicate all over lace. (If this dress was in white or light blue, it would make a great bridal outfit!) I rented it from Nuuly and wish I had more places to wear it too! It would be the perfect dress if you’re attending a fall wedding. Pair it with the Sarah Flint Perfect Block Sandals and you’re ready to dance the night away in style and comfort!
