Make it Pink Make it Blue

I recently ordered two almost identical dresses from Sister Jane. One was from last season and features a pink floral print. The other is from this season and is a blue floral. Looking at the two of them side by side made me immediately think of Sleeping Beauty. When her fairies keep saying: Make it pink. Make it blue.

Forest Fauna Dress (Pink) // Forget-Me-Not Dress (Blue)

I felt like because these dresses are something out of a fairytale, they needed to be photographed at an equally as magical place. While I didn’t get to go to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, Cinderella’s Castle is just as beautiful. It’s even the perfect shade of pink and blue. And the hidden gems like Cinderella’s fountain and wishing well make it all that more magical.

My favorite things about these dresses (other than the make it pink, make it blue reference) is the tie back detailing. I’m a sucker for a good bow and these are no exceptions. Besides the feminine touch of a bow, the florals are the epitome of spring. We all know how groundbreaking florals for spring are. While florals may not be groundbreaking, they certainly are timeless. Regardless of whether you make it pink or make it blue, florals will be in spring in and spring out.

You can shop both of these Sister Jane dresses below. Note the one available for purchase from Nuuly is not brand new and has been rented to others in the past. That’s how I first fell in love with this dress. So much so, I rented it another month before purchasing.
