Summer to Fall Transition in Florida

Many people right now are “hype” for the fall season. While I’m excited myself for pumpkin everything and the sugar filled caramel apple spice, I will not be pulling out any kind of jeans, leggings, sweaters, or scarves anytime soon. This is of course, Florida weather permitting. When the end of October rolls around and the temperatures have dropped to a crisp mid to upper 70’s you might see some of those items present themselves. Fall in Florida is very different from fall in other states. Honestly, I can’t complain. My blood is thin and anything under 75 degrees permits a coat. Since I don’t want to sweat bullets all through autumn, I won’t make the full transition from summer to fall for a little while longer. However, I will probably start making the switch from tank tops to short sleeves and quarter sleeves as well.

I picked up this top from the Target clearance section back in August and I’m so excited to be able to wear it now! I paired it with a pleated skirt that had me feeling very French (just add a beret!) The weather hasn’t taken too much of a drastic turn for cooler temperatures so I did wear some gold bow slides to keep me a little bit cooler (I also got these bow slides on clearance from Target).

Finally, just to show that it’s always summer in Florida (and that you can’t take the Florida out of the girl) the palm tree detailing on this shirt is perfect. If I were you, I would expect to see just as many palm trees, pineapples, and flamingos this summer to fall season (even if it gets to 30 degrees). That’s just how this Florida gal rolls.
