It’s officially fall. Sadly, it only feels like fall some mornings in Florida. But regardless, I’ve got my boots ready to wear at a moments notice. Since I rarely get to wear my boots, I always hunt for the most affordable pairs for fall. There’s no need to drop $100+ on something I’ll only wear once a year. (That’s just not convincing girl math, you know?)
Last year, I had the most luck finding affordable (and comfortable) fall boots at Target. In fact, I bought two pairs of Target boots last year, but I very well could have bought 3-4. However, Target is not the only place to look for affordable fall boots. I’ve also had luck with Amazon, TJ Maxx, and even Ross.

3 Affordable Fall Boot Styles
There’s 3 styles of boots that I recommend having in your wardrobe for fall. Even as a Floridian I have these boots stashed in my closet. (You never know when a girls trip may call you to Colorado in the dead of winter). While there’s some that I can wear in Florida, I definitely don’t wear the hiking boots as much as the others.
Booties
Booties are an absolute must have for fall. Whether they’re a traditional bootie or a sock booties (my personal favorite) I recommend having at least one pair in your closet. Target has been my go-to for booties the past couple of years. I have a traditional black pair and off white sock booties. Both have a block heel and are immensely comfortable. And under $50.
Over The Knee Boots
Over the knee boots are probably my favorite when it comes to boots. Unfortunately, I rarely get to wear them. When I do decide to wear them on almost fall days, it usually ends with a lot of sweat. (Is that tmi?) If you don’t live in Florida and haven’t tried over the knee boots, I highly recommend you do. I remember being hesitant at first, but really fell in love with them. Mine are from Amazon and under $100.
Hiking Boots
I really have no business owning fur lined hiking boots. It’s not only hot all the time in Florida, there’s also no mountains. I bought these boots for a girls trip to Colorado. Did they keep me warm? Debatable. I don’t know that anything can keep a Floridian warm. They did keep my feet dry though which was a major concern with the cold and the snow. I bought this pair from Ross a couple years back, but Target has some available this season.
Splurge Worthy Fall Boots
If you live up north, or even just wear boots a lot down south, I recommend investing in a pair of quality boots. While high quality genuine leather boots may cost more, they’ll be worth the splurge so they don’t fall apart. I love a pair of affordable boots for fall, but that’s because I only get the chance to wear them 1 or 2 times a year. When I used to live in Virginia, I definitely splurged on boots. I’d rather them last me year in and year out then buy a new cheap pair every year. In terms of girl math, it’s cheaper to invest in a pair that will last then buy something that can’t even make it through an entire season.
I’ve had the honor of being a part of the Sarah Flint Curators Club for over a year now and in that time, I’ve gotten to try a pair of Sarah Flint boots. While I didn’t keep the boots (because for a Florida girl, it doesn’t make sense to) Sarah Flint shoes are my go to for every other pair of shoes I may need.
