    Holiday Cards from Basic Invite

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Basic Invite. All tips and opinions are my own. Results may vary. The holiday season has been a real whirlwind this year. I thought we would have plenty of time for festive movies, cookies, and gift shopping. But as it turns out, I am scrambling to get everything in order before Santa makes his way around the world bringing Christmas joy to all. After Halloween I took my time putting away all my jack-o-lanterns and skeletons. Apparently I should have swapped to Christmas the next day, because it’s felt like there’s not been enough time with the Christmas decor up! If you’re scrambling like…

    Timeless Spring Wedding Inspo

It’s hard to believe it’s been one whole year since our wedding. It’s seemed like a lifetime and yet no time at all. I’ve shared bits and pieces of our big day throughout the past year, but I think it’s time to have a dedicated post to the big day! To those that have been here, thanks for sticking around. For those that are new, welcome to the party! I hope future brides can use some of our big day for spring wedding inspo of their own. Unlike my Pinterest board growing up, there was no real “theme” to our wedding perse. For the most part, we tried to keep…

    Rain on Your Wedding Day

Marriage! Marriage is what brings us together today. Michael and I recently just reached our 6 month wedding anniversary. While I wouldn’t say we celebrated our 6 month anniversary, it is certainly worth celebrating everyday. We get asked all the time how “married life is”. To which we respond with, “the same”. It’s truly a beautiful thing to be just as in love now as we were on day one of dating. And it’s something I wish for everyone, to be in an eternal honeymoon phase. With 6 months of being husband and wife I’m looking back on our wedding day. I’ve realized, I haven’t shared much about our wedding…

What I’d Wear to The Queen’s Ball

I have now re-watched the first season of Bridgerton for the 3rd time. Can ya blame a girl? The ambiance alone is enough to make me re-watch it. If I could live on the set of Bridgerton, I would. And don’t doubt for a second that I’m not taking notes on how to decorate our house in true Bridgerton style. With how much I adore Bridgerton, I wish there was a Bridgerton Experience for The Queen’s Ball in Orlando. You can bet, I would buy tickets in a heartbeat. Those lucky people in D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Montreal. Maybe they’ll add some Florida stops soon. Regardless, I’ve…

Custom Wedding Invitations with Hand Painted Venue

A trend I’ve been obsessed with long before I ever got engaged were custom wedding invitations. I was particularly in love with hand painted images of wedding venues on invitations. To me, they were not only timeless, but a piece of artwork everyone of our guest could keep too. My concern with getting custom invitations done for a wedding was the price. Custom wedding invitations can cost thousands of dollars, and that simply was not in the budget. Luckily, my old co-worker is an extremely talented artist. I asked if she would be willing to paint and design our invitations and was blessed when she said yes. The beauty of…

    Wedding Party Gifts

I am so excited to share this post! I’ve been gathering gifts for my wedding party since Christmas time. I finally got everything that I wanted to include the week before my wedding. Talk about cutting it close. The problem was, I kept thinking of things to give them! But time has run out to buy them more and it’s time to show what I got! I wanted these gifts to not just be for me, but to show my wedding party how much it means to me to have them stand by my side. Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, meaning at no additional…

Wedding Rings for the Traditional Bride

My wedding band has finally come in, so now is the perfect time to share my wedding rings. Something I’ve noticed while shopping for a wedding band is that, a lot of traditional aspects are starting to fade away. Particularly when it comes to the metal color. To me, yellow gold is the traditional color for wedding rings. But even Michael noticed that there’s hardly any yellow gold sold in stores. In fact, he told me he had to special order my engagement ring because it wasn’t in yellow gold. When we went back to pick out my wedding band we had to do the same thing. It seems nowadays,…

    Christmas Traditions that I Have

I am so into the Christmas season this year. You would think last year would be the year I was ready for Christmas but apparently 2021 takes the cake. A lot has happened in the past few years and it’s reminded me of a few things. 1. To enjoy every moment of life. From the shared morning coffee to the movie at home. 2. To keep traditions alive, no matter what changes. and 3. To be willing to create new traditions as things do change. My Christmas traditions have been pretty consistent all my life. At the same time, the past 5 years have had a lot happen, which has…

Holiday Gifts for the Bride to Be

I’ve found that I really do love being a bride to be, no matter how much I didn’t want to. However, things I don’t really love are your typical gifts for the bride. By that I mean, I don’t love the idea of having a bunch of stuff that says “bride” or “engaged” on it because it has such a limited time to it. Once you’re married you are no longer the bride or engaged. It seems like a bit of a waste to get a bride to be a ton of gifts like that. A few, of course, are necessary. However, getting things that only use limited phrases isn’t…

    Colorstreet – An Honest Review

I was introduced to Colorstreet by a friends mom and then by my friends sister and then by my friend. I joke that it’s “just another pyramid scheme” like Mary Kay and Pampered Chef. (Though it should be noted those are illegal so don’t worry it’s not really a pyramid scheme). But just like Mary Kay and Pampered Chef, Colorstreet uses personal connections to help make sales. It’s a tried and true business model, no matter how shady it might seem to some people. But enough about that. The point is, I fell in love with Colorstreet. I didn’t think that I would, and I was hoping that I wouldn’t…
