One of my favorite items for fall is a blazer. It’s the perfect layer to add to an outfit. Blazers not only look great with almost everything, but also keep temperatures more regulated. (Meaning that in Florida, it doesn’t becoming unbearably hot while wearing one). While a black blazer is wardrobe staple, I find myself always wearing my tweed blazer. Tweed adds a touch of old world elegance to an outfit, whether it be a blazer, skirt, or dress. Designers that come to mind when I think of tweed are Burberry, Balmain, and Channel, just to name a few.
I’ve had this tweed blazer for years. Truthfully, I don’t remember when I bought it, only where. This classic is from H&M but gives off Burberry elegance. It’s been with me through the thick and the thin. (Literally, I had it when I lived in Virginia and I still wear it now living in Florida). Here are just 3 ways I’ve styled it so far this year.

Classic Work Outfit
It doesn’t get more classic than a blazer, tailored pants, and simple blouse. I styled my tweed blazer with my favorite pants from Zara and a classic black top. And I made sure to wear my matching shoes from Sarah Flint too.

Old World Charm
People’s first thought when styling a blazer is often pants, but what if you styled it with a midi skirt? Sure, blazers are also great with a mini skirt. But wearing it with an a-line midi skirt gives the look an old world charm. It reminds me of outfits you might see at the turn of the century. (But don’t quote me on historical fashion).

A Twist on a Classic
When it comes to mixing modern and classic, it doesn’t get much better than a workwear outfit with shorts. While not every pair of shorts may be appropriate for a work setting, the correct length and tailoring can make a world of difference. Shorts have quickly become an essential for fall in Florida. This is just one of the ways I’ve worn them and I love it.
