Amazon Finds for Spring and Summer

I’ve gotten so many good pieces this spring already that are just perfect for the season and will carry into summer. The shocking part is, they’re from some unexpected places. I didn’t think there would be so many good spring finds on Amazon or at Target. But I stand corrected. I’ve pretty much shopped through all of Target already and the new arrivals just keep on coming. Then there’s Amazon. There’s always bound to be some good Amazon finds regardless of season (spring, summer, winter, etc.) But this spring has really blown me away on my purchases and ever growing Amazon wishlist.

Friendly Reminders When Amazon Shopping

I really try my best not to use Amazon in a way that benefits fast fashion and hurts the environment. I’ve become much more selective over the past year alone about what I purchase from Amazon in an attempt to cut back on my carbon foot print. I know it’s not possible for everyone to do, so I just try to do my part as best I can and hope others can get to that place one day too. Before you go on a full on spring Amazon shopping spree with all these finds I wanted to share a few reminders with you. It’ll save you a lot of heartbreak and mistakes.

  • Always Read Reviews – This should be a no-brainer right? Gosh I wish. I still buy so many things without reading reviews or just don’t have reviews. This is a mistake right from the start. At least if there’s bad/good reviews you know what you’re getting into. If there’s no reviews though? I highly recommend leaving it behind. Trust me, I’ve made the mistake for you and have ended up item-less with multiple refunds. It’s just not fun.
  • Determine Your Risk Tolerance – Are you ok with reviews but no review pictures? Are you willing to be heart broken when there’s no reviews and you buy anyway? These are some questions to ask yourself before shopping on Amazon. Especially so if you aren’t shopping a brand you know or trust.
  • When in Doubt, Walk Away – No seriously. No really please. Walk. Away. I made the mistake of falling completely head over heels with an item that was clearly too good to be true, had no reviews, and never showed up. 2 refunds later and I still have no item. If it ever comes I’ll be sure to share it but I’ll also give you a full picture of what it took to get it. (And that all relies on the if it comes part).
