Black Midi Dress from Mare Mare

Cue the spotlight and make way for a grand entrance. This Mare Mare black midi dress deserves an applause! With so much drama packed into one dress, it’s easily fit for a queen. (Hence the headband crown). Now I may not have anywhere to go in this dress, but it sure was fun wearing it just to twirl! My initial thoughts when putting it on were, this is heavy! The fabric is very sturdy and certainly makes an impact even before you put the dress on! Once it’s on though, you hardly notice the weight. (Especially when I twirl like this).

When finding a place to take photos of this dress I was looking for a location worthy of a ball! (Looking back, our wedding venue would have been the perfect spot. Can you imagine me showing up for the tour in this dress? Talk about making an impression! Ha!) Turn out, Winter Park has plenty of hidden gems. The outside of this building was completely void of people which was ah-maz-ing. (I get a little self conscious when people are around watching). I could twirl, hop, and pose to my hearts content at this location! It was probably one of the most fun times I’ve had shooting an outfit and I love the way the photos turned out. Shout out to Michael for doing such a fantastic job.

I really loved this black midi dress more than I thought. Even though I didn’t have anywhere to wear it, I’d imagine the opportunity will present itself eventually. While I’m not usually a high-low type of girl, this dress convinced me it can be elegant. (I guess it was just so trendy when I was in middle school and high school that I didn’t want to go back down that road). It’ll certainly be an investment piece but a great item for things like cruises, formals, and so much more.
