When I was up in Virginia last month for yet another wedding, I got to see so many old friends. Including one of my favorite people in the world. She’s a no BS type person which I totally need more of in my life. There’s no forced conversations or awkward silences, we just are and I love it. Anyways, she texted me earlier this week (asking about my all time favorite day planner in the world) and it reminded me how I totally need to do a post on this casual night out outfit that I wore. We didn’t get the best pics, but it doesn’t matter because the time together was priceless.
A quick snapshot from the night can be seen above. We were going to be at the amazing rooftop bar that I was really excited for! Cue the thunder. ⛈A torrential downpour started just as we decided to switch to seats inside. Then came the lightening storm, which had them closing down the rooftop (even the inside seating) within minutes. This is before my gal arrived so we couldn’t take any cute rooftop pictures together. But as the saying goes “You have to go with the flow”. The flow that night led us to a pub across the street for a couple pitchers and some appetizers. A whirlwind of a night, but so worth it.

So even though this outfit didn’t get to be used to it’s full night out potential, that’s ok. It was definitely worth re-wearing now as summer comes to a close (for you northern people that is).
