How to Wear a Plain White Tee in Summer

One of my favorite reasons to buy matching sets is so I can mix and match with my entire wardrobe. When I initially bought this Lilly Pulitzer set for spring I had only ever tried on the shorts. Specifically, I had tried on the shorts with a plain white tee. It was really from that moment that I knew I wanted this set so I could switch up outfits. However, I found the shorts at TJ Maxx and they had no matching top. Priced at $30 when I knew it was from a set made me hang up those shorts like they were infected with Covid-19. But you all know…

Best Day of the Year -NWYLD

One of my favorite days is finally here! National wear your Lilly Day (NWYLD) is by far the best day of the year. NWYLD corresponds to the first day of summer, which is today (June 20)! This differs from the past few years where the summer solstice landed on June 21st. To kick off the best day of the year I’m taking a trip down memory lane and sharing all the Lilly Pulitzer I’ve worn in 2020. It may seem like the year just started but I assure you we are half way through already. Now lets get in that Resort 365 mood! Disclosure: Some of the links in this…

Target Collaborations – Designer Dress Collection

Target just released one of their latest collaborations, the designer dress collection. This collection features designers such as LoveShackFancy, Cushnie, and my personal favorite, Marie Fernandez. Target Collaborations have been going on for years. From Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines to Hunter Boots. While some may complain that these collabs really don’t do anything for either companies, I beg to differ. The quality of clothing is held to the same designer standard. However, the styles offered through the collaborations are much more affordable for the everyday consumer. To me, that’s a win win, both for Target and collaborating brands & designers. The current designer dress collection is no different and…

What to Wear with Keds Sneakers

For the longest time, Converse were my go to sneaker. I literally wear the 4 or 5 pairs of Converse I wore into the ground. They had holes, they were dirty, and they were 7 years old. Needless to say, when I graduated college I didn’t bother bringing them home with me. They met their new best friend, the trashcan. As sad as it was back then, it lead to my new best friend, Keds sneakers. Now this isn’t to say I won’t ever wear Converse every again (I’m actually on the hunt for a pair). I’ve just only bought Keds and Nikes since graduating. While I love my Nikes…

Memorial Day Sales 2020 to Shop Now

Since mid-March stores have been having almost non-stop sales online. It would make sense that to attract more buyers during this time that they would use this marketing tact. To say the least, it’s a genius ploy. I shopped sites I’ve never shopped on before and scored big. Now it’s almost the end of May (how did that happen?) which means Memorial Day Sales are here. It’s time for all those other sales to step aside this weekend. Here are my favorite Memorial Day sales of 2020. Running Shoes 101: Finding the Perfect Fit

First I just have to say, I’m so grateful for the positive response to writing this post. I try to keep this blog focused on fashion for the most part and not my other loves and hobbies. However, the occasional workout or Disney post can be fun too. I realize now that, even though I’m going to get a little technical about shoes here, shoes are still fash-on. Though I may get technical please realize I’m not an expert on running or shoes and this is mostly based on my opinions as well as things I’ve read on the internet. So without further ado, here’s all about my favorite running…

    The Ultimate Summer Swimsuit Guide

My leasing company just gave us the best news. They’re re-opening the pool! Just in time for sunshine and summer. After all, summertime is right around the corner. Which means it’s time for me to add about 5 new swimsuits to my already enormous collection. (Does anyone else have 20+ swimsuits)? There are some prints and patterns that I am totally obsessed with right now. On top of that, there’s a few swimsuit styles that I’m just dying to share as well. So to round them all up I’m sharing my ultimate summer swimsuit guide. Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, meaning at no additional…

Straw, Raffia, and Rattan, Oh My!

Straw, raffia, and rattan. What a mouth full! While I would assume most people know what straw is in one way, shape, or form, raffia and rattan may not be as familiar. I’ll go over quickly what the minor difference is between them all. But most importantly it’s good to know that they are all hot commodities in the fashion world. So here’s the run down, straw accessories is straight forward as it’s strIaw. Raffia is my personal favorite because it originates from the raffia palm. Finally, rattan is more of a type of wicker making it probably the thickest of all the options. When it comes down to it,…

    Linen Pants, Joggers, and more!

If done right, linen pants and joggers are the perfect way to look put together but still be hella comfortable. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of linen pants for awhile now. Unfortunately, I don’t feel comfortable making it an online purchase. I’ve never owned a pair of linen pants and I want to be able to try them on and find the perfect pair. After all, there’s a fine line between looking fabulous in linen pants or joggers and looking like you just rolled out of bed. Recent Purchases from Lilly Pulitzer & Nordstrom

Everything that I ordered from Lilly Pulitzer and the Nordstrom Better Together sale have finally arrived. I don’t want to complain on how long the shipping took but I will say that the Lilly took longer than an APS purchase. Certainly not something I’m used to. Regardless of the shipping time (which I knew could be lengthy) I’m really happy with the recent purchases I’ve made. I have always felt that I shop equally in stores and online but, I guess I’m wrong. I have spent significantly less since staying at home. At least, that’s what my bank account says. I can recall at least 3 “major purchases” I’ve made…
