This color block dress is one of my favorite things to wear this time of year. Not because it’s warm (because trust me, it’s not), but because the colors remind me of Valentine’s Day. While the color block is not as vibrant as pink and red, it’s still there. The muted pink and dark red are a subtle way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. (But can also be worn outside of February too).
I’ve actually made a post of this almost exact outfit before. It was time for a refresh though. (Especially since those photos were taken with my iPhone 6 and not even my camera).

Color Block Dress Refresh
While these photos were certainly refreshed, I wanted to remix the accessories too. I’ve bought a ton more headbands and they’ve become one of my favorite things. No more boring hair that airdries after a run. Add a headband and it’s like instant glam. I love it. Which is why I had to pair this dress with one. I debated between a pink headband and black headband and ultimately went with the black. (You can say it was the goth in me that picked it).
Even though I accented the black block of the dress with the headband, I didn’t want to go full on goth. This amour clutch is my go to for just about every wedding that I go to. There was almost no competition when it came to what bag to pair this dress with. (Though that DIY personalized clutch I just did was very tempting). Ultimately, though only one change was made to this outfit, I’m even more in love with it than I was last time. Not feeling like making your color block dress Valentine’s Day? Throw out the amour clutch and grab a satchel instead. It’ll be just as show stopping.
