Can y’all believe the last day of Summer is Friday?! I certainly can’t. So many people are excited for it to be officially Fall, but honestly it’s not gonna change much about Florida. We’re still going to have over 80 temps and ridiculous humidity. Though I want to be clear, I will be transitioning into Fall content this weekend. It will be Florida Fall content. Meaning you should still expect a lot of dresses, some shorts, and some tank tops. Today though, I’m wearing one last end of summer outfit.
Tropical Vibe End of Summer Outfit
I realized the other day that I haven’t put together the perfect tropical outfit with the Keds I received from my holiday wishlist. I own so much banana leaf print, but none of them match perfectly with my Keds. It’s a bit difficult to wear fun printed shoes when every article of clothing in your closet is made up of more prints. This end of summer outfit combines two very similar tropical prints and a neutral tee.
These “shorts” are actually a romper from H&M years ago. You can read all about that waiting game in its original debut on the blog over a year ago. This T-shirt is the comfiest thing in the entire world. It’s stretchy, but it still maintains great form. After I’ve tied the side into a knot, it goes back to its original shape with no problems.
Some of my favorite casual and comfy tees are from TJ Maxx and typically are under $10. Why should t-shirts cost so much anyway? The classic tee is just one wardrobe staple that you can wear all year round. Throw it on with some jeans in the fall. Shrug on a jacket with it in the winter. Pair it with a midi skirt in the spring and clearly with some shorts in the fall.
Making the Most of Your Closet
If there’s one thing I love, it’s being able to wear pieces in a multitude of ways. Just like this romper, jumpsuits and dresses can be utilized for so much more in your closet. I don’t own velvet pants, but I do own a velvet jumpsuit which is just as good. How do you make your closet versatile?
