Fall Mini Dress

In case you forgot, I live in Florida. Which means cozy sweaters, jeans, and boots, do not make an acceptable fall wardrobe. Dresses, open toed boots or sandals are what a Florida fall wardrobe consist of. Midi dresses in particular have become my favorite fall wardrobe pieces. (And honestly, overall wardrobe piece). While I’ve come to love longer midi and maxi dresses over the years, I wanted to try a few more mini dresses. And with how hot fall has been the past couple years, a mini dress is the perfect option.

Finding the right length mini dress to wear in fall was a bit of a struggle. To me, a mini dress is anything that comes above the knee. Being petite though, it can’t be too long or too short of a mini dress. A mid thigh mini dress is my perfect length.

Finding the right color and print for a mini dress in fall is the most challenging part of the outfit. I’m a sucker for floral, but too bright and it’s more of a summer dress. Solid dresses in muted colors are great options for fall. But I’m not quite ready to give up my florals just yet. This dress from Nuuly is the right color and print floral for fall. I particularly love that it’s not on a crisp white, but more of a muted tone. For the perfect fall mini dress look, I paired it with booties that I recently bought from Target. A felt hat is another great accessory for fall that doesn’t make an outfit too hot to wear in Florida.
