From Engagements to Baby Showers, Invitations for Every Step of Life

This post is sponsored by Basic Invite. All opinions are my own.

I don’t know about my fellow millennials in their 20’s but, I’ve been getting a ton of mail for engagements, weddings, and even babies on the way. It’s a little crazy to think that I’m even old enough to make those life decisions. Then I realize, a lot of these events we really plan for basically our entire life. For example, my youngest sister is convinced that she wants “500 boys and 500 girl” babies. While this is a little extreme, it’s really not unusual for youngins to plan out when they want to be married or how many kids they want.

I’ve put all this thought into the timeline of my future life events (which can get pretty ugly) and not enough time planning all the details that make those moments truly beautiful. Which is why I’ve teamed with Basic Invite. Maybe I’m not planning any huge life event yet (parents settle down this is not a sign) but if I can help at least one of my fellow millennial’s who is then that’s pretty beautiful too

While generic invitations are cheap, they don’t do justice to the big life events we may be announcing. For instance a baby shower. I personally don’t want kids but that’s a big deal, I mean, you literally made something out of nothing, it’s like magic. Not to mention, that “it” is so unique and individual that the world has literally never seen anything like it. So why would you want an invitation that everyone’s seen? What I love about Basic Invite is how customizable it is. You get to change so much more than the name. Almost every template can be completely customized, like these tea party baby shower invitations. You can change every color of the template into something 100% unique. (You can’t get that on Etsy guys, trust me, I’ve tried). Heck if I’m being serious, it doesn’t even need to be for a baby shower because it can say whatever you want it to say. Planning babies first birthday? Pick an adorable baby shower announcement and customize it.

They also offer one of my favorite things in the entire world, foil finishes. If I’m being honest, I’m a sucker for gold foil finishes and don’t even care about the up charge it may come with because I’m that obsessed. If you think the customization stops there, think again. They have over 40 color options for envelopes (not just plain old white). To put the cherry on top of your little tea party cake, you get to approve your custom sample before placing a final order, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Now, I’m probably one of the few people left who still loves good old fashioned snail mail (as evident from my “thank you’s” post). However, I’m certainly not a fan of gathering up everyone’s addresses. In fact, that’s the only part about letters that I hate. Basic Invite takes all that hate I have for addresses and dwindles it to nothing. With a simple address capturing form that you can post on your social media’s, you’re saved from all the work.

But wait! There’s more!

Basic Invite doesn’t just make invitations (I know, you’re all flabbergasted). They make stationary and business cards too! Again, completely customizable, you can even upload your own design. As someone who isn’t planning any life events right now (just watching others do their thing) I really love their stationary and business cards. Not to mention I needed a lil something for my new desk.
