Grad Letter Balloons for Graduation

Graduation Party

Graduation parties have seemed to take a back burner this year with all the weddings I’ve been going too. The last graduation I attended was in December and the last grad party I went too was last year! My brother graduated from High school last May and I am so proud of him. (Side note: he just started his EMT classes this week and it’s amazing to see how dedicated he’s been since he was little to become a Firefighter). Of course, to celebrate this monumental occasion we threw him a graduation party full of food and fun.

Graduation Candy Bar

My mom has done this precious thing for all her kids high school graduation parties so far, having a candy bar. The candy bar is always composed of our high school colors. Honestly, this could work for so many parties and occasions, especially the 4th of July coming up. The best place to shop for this colorful candy bar is Party City. 9/10 times they’ll have a color coordinated candy isle right down the center of their stores. The isle is stocked full of M&M’s, Hershey Kisses, Chocolate coins, Pixie Sticks, and so many other sweets. They also have candy bags, twist ties, and ribbons in their respective color section. The candy bar option never ceases to be a hit at graduation parties, especially with the little ones who will be high on sugar the rest of the party.

High School Graduation Balloons

Graduation Balloons

We all know that the giant letter and number balloons are all the rage now a days. But I was shocked to know that my local party city store has specific balloons for high schools in the area! I had never heard of this before. (When I graduated high school I just settled for an awesome Batman balloon! How else do you celebrate taking the next step to becoming a super cool vigilante millionaire?) These high school specific balloons are very sought after these days though, and if you don’t order them in advanced they’ll probably be sold out by the time graduation rolls around. This doesn’t mean you should skip on balloons though. After all, what’s a party without them?

Congratulations to anyone who graduated , or is graduating, this year! You did awesome and you deserve to celebrate! (With a major sugar high and a little champagne if you’re old enough 😉).
