In case you were on vacation in the Keys this past week you’ll know, Orlando has been freezing. In order to not have my feet fall off I’ve been wearing all the warm socks that I have. Shockingly (not really), I have almost none. Even in Virginia I only owned a few pairs of socks that would keep my feet warm. For some reason I’m always under the impression that I don’t need warm socks because I don’t wear boots. I will tell you, this way of thinking is wrong! Fittingly, today is national sock day! So let me show you some socks that are going to keep your toes toasty warm this holiday season.

Fair Isle is one of my favorite winter prints, and is especially fitting for holiday socks. The pattern just reminds me of a cozy weekend in a cabin sitting by the fire. With all the stitching that goes into fair isle, they can turn out to be some pretty hefty socks. This is a great thing because it’ll keep your toes extra warm, even if you aren’t roasting chestnuts on an open fire.

Something I can never resist, even more so during the holidays, are novelty socks and sweaters. I mean, who doesn’t love little penguins on socks?! From dinosaurs in hats to wiener dogs in sweaters, novelty socks really can’t be beat. My favorite novelty holiday socks this season are the drink related ones. I mean hello, a sparkling glass of champagne and a bow wrapped martini? What better way to scream holiday!?
Also, take into account that fun, warm socks make great holiday presents for everyone. Boy, girls, men, woman, your grandma! They are all going to love fun socks.
