Hosting a Bridgerton Soirée

Dearest Gentle Reader, it has come to this authors attention that a soirée was had at the Frostrom household and I was not invited. But gossip has a way of coming to the surface, does it not?

Dawn your most Bridgerton gown and put on your favorite pearls for the soirée of the season. When I heard that we were finally getting season 3 of Bridgerton, I immediately wanted to throw a soirée watch party. As luck would have it, a watch party was not in the cards this time. But, I still wanted to celebrate the new season with a ball of my own. (Any excuse to dress up, am I right?)

What to Wear to a Bridgerton Soirée

I have a few different dresses in my closet that would be perfect for a soirée, but I love any reason to get something new. Instead of buying a brand new dress for this occasion, I decided to rent a dress in my monthly Nuuly. It also doubled as my “fancy night” on the cruise to Greece we just went to. While I love dressing up as much as possible, any outfit that makes you feel like part of the ton will do. For my guest, I purchase opera gloves, bows, and dainty drawstring bags for them to add to their outfit during the soirée if they so chose. They also made for great party gifts.

Soiree Decor

Now everyone knows that dresses are far from the only thing that make a ball grand. And if you want to impress the queen, it must be grand. Your finest china is required, and don’t forget the tea tray with the most exquisite hors d’oeuvres. Florals are also a must, but use them sparingly in locations throughout your soirée. I chose to use florals in the library to give it just a touch of Bridgerton vibes to the room. Other decor options include feathers, crystals and, if you so desire, bugs. Of course, no Bridgerton soirée would be complete without a spot of tea. Or at the very least, a tea cup. The author will never judge the contents of one’s tea cup, after all.
