How to Style a Tunic Dress in Spring

Last summer I shared one of my favorite summer dresses from Sail to Sable. Today I’m re-sharing that dress and another tunic dress from Sail to Sable. The start of spring is a great time to look for and purchase these tunic dresses at places like TJ Maxx. Why? Because you can find them at a great discount ($30 instead of $100) and because they’re perfect for this time of year. It’s also a great staple to have in spring and also throughout summer.

Sail to Sable Tunic Dress

I love the tunic dress because it is easy, simple, and put together. It doesn’t require much more than a pair of shoes to make a stylish spring outfit. There is nothing more that I love than simple fashion. It’s one of the main reasons I wear dresses so often. The less thinking involved, the better when putting together an outfit. Of course, I love pairing my Sail to Sable with Jack Rogers. It’s like a match made in heaven!

Other Brands to Look For

As you can clearly tell, I’m a die hard lover of Sail to Sable. However, there are plenty of other brands out there that have tunics. Some other brands that are available at TJ Maxx are Spartina 449 (of course you can’t search the brand online, but it’s still good to know). You can easily search for all brands selling these types of dresses on TJ Maxx online by typing in “Tunic Dress”. Be sure to check frequently as they re-add items (like these dresses in this post) every season.

Another brand that I’ve recently come to know and love is Duffield Lane. They are within the same original price range as Sail to Sable and as far as I have seen, I haven’t seen them at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. But, they do offer some great sales throughout the year and spring season so be sure to follow along with them.

Of course other classic resort and beach brands also carry tunic dresses. Vineyard Vines always has some great options, especially in the summertime. This second tunic dress is actually a cover-up from Marley Lilly. I love the classic seersucker detail and that it makes an equally as get dress.
