How to Wear a Romper in Fall – 5 Ways

Real life check people. This “How to Wear a Romper in Fall” post is basically compiled from other fabulous fashion bloggers. I was going to share my own ways too (because you know, I own A LOT of rompers) but life has just been…crazy. The blog took the back burner this weekend. Between marathon training, work, and over booking myself with social and family engagements, taking photos was just not in the mix. Yet, as I write this and am telling it to my boyfriend he is asking why we can’t take pictures…we’ll see about that maybe in a couple of days.

How to Wear a Romper in Fall

There’s a ton of ways that you can wear a romper in Fall that makes it weather appropriate. I’ll be talking about 5 easy and cute ways to wear a romper in Fall. The best part is, you don’t have to buy new items to make them work. Just use what’s already in your fall wardrobe.

Wear a Vest, Jacket, or Sweater

Layering a vest, jacket, or cardigan is my go to for fall fashion. Whether you’re wearing your Lilly Pulitzer or a maxi dress, this trick is easy and fast. Depending on the sleeve length of the romper will determine what you layer over it. The easiest way I remember is short with long. Either a sleeveless romper with a cardigan or jacket and a longer sleeve romper with a vest.

Layer a Shirt

Layering another shirt either under or over a romper is another great way to make it fall appropriate. Since Florida is still relatively warm, I choose cotton button downs to layer with sleeveless rompers.

Pair with a Scarf

This is probably the easiest of all of them. Throw on a cute scarf and call it a day. This is especially perfect for warmer fall days. It also pairs very well with all the other ways to wear a romper in fall.

Wear with Tights, Jeans, or High Boots

Whether you decide to pair a romper with tights underneath or wear it with jeans, it’s sure to be a hit. Tights are a great way to make an outfit more chic in the winter. A note of caution when deciding to wear jeans, make sure the cut of the romper works well so it looks like a shirt. It could look a little awkward the way it sections off the body with jeans.

Quarter & Long Sleeve Rompers

Last but certainly not least, rompers that are already made for fall. These rompers have long or quarter length sleeves, eliminating the need for extra layers. That certainly doesn’t mean you can’t add a few though.
