Man, St. Patrick’s day on a weekday is honestly just the worst. Am I right? No green beer all day, no crazy green attire. St. Patrick’s day is honestly pretty blue when it’s on a week day. But I’m really trying to not get too down about it. I’ll still drink my green beer after work and I’ll be darned if I don’t wear green to work tomorrow. It may not be quite as green as last years outfit ideas but hey, it’ll still keep me from getting pinched.

How to Wear Green to Work
Let’s be honest, I technically wear green every day of my life (my last name isn’t green for nothing). But usually wearing my last name isn’t enough for St. Patrick’s Day. After all, I am part Irish. Don’t believe me? Check out my siblings red hair! Anyways, I actually wore this outfit at the end of February. It feels a little bit too soon to be wearing it again but, what can I do? I honestly love this green blouse. I got it from Target at least 5 years ago and it just goes with so much. Jeans, trousers, a pencil skirt, you name it.
I’ve been loving this concept that I’ve seen from Carly (the Prepster) of shopping your closet. It’s made me realize that there are so many combinations that I haven’t tried yet. My typical go to with this blouse is a black pencil skirt. Sometimes I’ll wear it with a pair of slacks, but typically it is just the pencil skirt. So when I put this top on and couldn’t find said pencil skirt Carly immediately popped into my head. I didn’t go too crazy when I went shopping in my closet that morning. (Clearly, I stuck with black bottoms). But I almost like this combination of blouse and leather skirt more than my go to pencil skirt. What a crazy idea to combo things differently. Thanks Carly 😉
