I bought this dress from Target, totally unplanned (per usual). It is supposed to be a midi dress and not a maxi dress, but because I’m short, it ends up hitting right at the ankle. I fell for this dress the second I saw it because of the polka dots and the little flair at the bottom. When I tried it on my initial thought was, a little dressy…but I couldn’t walk away from it. So I bought it and said to heck with people thinking I’m fancy. I like being fancy anyways.
Another recent obsession I’ve had are jean jackets. I was never really into them before, but now I see how they’re a total wardrobe staple. I now own two denim jackets, both of which were major scores. One was a hand me down from my Grandma and the other my boyfriend found at Goodwill for $7. Another place to shop for an affordable jean jacket is on Poshmark, where you can find them starting at about $7. Seriously amazing, if you’re looking for a denim jacket and aren’t willing to pay $50 (I totally get it), check out Poshmark. You can also head to your local TJ Maxx, or shop online for a jean jacket as well.
Adding a jean jacket to this dress was just the touch it needed to make it more casual. This outfit is perfect for church, shopping, or grabbing coffee with the girls. I seriously love how versatile both the dress and jean jacket is. I don’t know how I managed without them before. I can’t wait to have a dressier occasion to wear this dress to and play it up with a little *bling bling*. Know of anywhere I can go?
