Knit Skirt with a Slit

A knit skirt is something I’ve wanted to try for awhile but have never gotten around to purchasing. I’ve eyed them for at least a year and thought, there’s no way it would work well in Florida. Sweater material + heat and humidity don’t usually add up well. However, thanks to Nuuly, I’ve gotten to give them a chance. In a shocking turn of events, the knit sweater skirt proved to work very well in Florida. Even in the dead of summer.

Pairing a Knit Skirt for Summer

Now it may not be summer, but it still feels like it in Florida. So when it came to styling this knit skirt, it was not with a sweater. However cute they are to pair with a chunky sweater up north, it does not work for Florida. I ended up wearing this skirt a few different ways while renting it. I wore it out shopping with a nice printed tee and some block heels. Even though it was humid from rain that day I didn’t sweat like I do in many other outfits that I wear. (Even the ones that are cooler). After that experience I knew this would be a great piece to wear again, and I did.

Fall in Florida

While wearing a sweater with this skirt was completely out of the question, I still had ample opportunity to wear it for a fall look. When it comes to 90 degree fall there’s certain elements I like to pull from. One of those are fall prints and colors. This mock neck tank in a brown animal print is a great way to incorporate fall into my Florida wardrobe. I tried pairing this skirt with a few knit tanks as well but just wasn’t feeling them. A printed top is the way to go with this skirt.
