Leap Year Party Ideas for February 29th

This is not a drill people, 2020 is a leap year! Do you know how often this comes around? Only once every 4 years! We might as well take advantage of it and celebrate while we can! I don’t know anyone born on leap day, but I still want to throw a leap year party. Besides, green is my favorite color. Why does that matter? Because frogs leap and are green. Bring on the green.

Leap Year Party Theme

So I didn’t get around to throwing a Valentine’s Day party, which is extremely unfortunate. So I’m going full blast on this frog themed leap year party. Dare I even catch a few Florida frogs to have at the party? (I’m just kidding, that’s a little too extra). There are plenty of frog themed parties out there, especially for younger kids. But here’s the thing, I’m not a kid. So I’ve gone ahead and combined a couple different ideas together for this leap year party. It’s a combination of a classic leap year party, a St. Patrick’s Day party, and a princess and the frog themed party. I’m hopping that it turns out alright and makes sense. Here’s just a few images that sparked my inspiration.

Something Green

There’s only a few shades of green that I don’t really like (like puke green is not cool). However, I do have a favorite shade of green, and that’s neon. Think like highlighter, reflective vest, almost yellow, green. If we’re going to get super specific on the exact shade, it would have to be Nike Volt. So when I thought about the green party I want to throw, I went with finding the brightest shades of green I possibly could. Unfortunately, the party store does not carry Volt colored decor. So I had to settle for the next best thing, lime green. Here’s just a few of my favorite party things in that color.
