Much like florals for spring are groundbreaking, so are citruses for summer. From lemon prints to oranges, you can find these styles everywhere in summer. Whether it’s on a bikini, a skirt, or even a hat, lemon print is here to stay. I’ve always loved citrus prints because I grew up in Florida. As a kid I took a handful of field trips to orange grooves pretty regularly. I also had a nine pound lemon tree in my backyard that we’d always make fresh lemonade with. Fun facts, nine pound lemons are 1. (usually) not actually nine pounds and 2. don’t look like a regular lemon. (They look more like a grapefruit in my opinion). As I got older my love for lemon print grew. I feel like while you wear them you should also be hand squeezing lemons to make lemonade. This particular lemon print skirt nods back to the 1950s housewife. It’s a high waist circle skirt that really sucks everything in. If I could master a pinup hairstyle, I definitely would have styled it that way. Instead, I opted for some purple flowers to pose with.

Lemon Print Everything
Looking for some lemon prints to add to your wardrobe this summer? I’m sharing my favorite items below. Some of them are a bit of an investment piece, but worth it since lemons are so classic. So long as an item is good quality and you can keep it for years to come, you’ll be making a smart sustainable choice. I know for a fact that Jack Rogers are an investment piece that I continue to wear every summer. These lemon ones are no exception. As for more affordable options, Chicwish has a handful of lemon prints that will be perfect for summers to come. Most of which are under $100.
