Light Blue Chinoiserie Dress from TJ Maxx

Let me just start off by saying, I am obsessed with this dress! I loved the light blue pattern that was similar to a chinoiserie print. When I found it in the dress section at TJ Maxx it was only available in a medium. Guys, I loved it so much I was willing to size up just to have it. (Does anyone else ever do this? I mean, I did do it with this striped jumpsuit. Granted that price was way better than this dress). Luckily, I knew the brand was something that TJ Maxx typically puts in the juniors section. So I rifled through some juniors racks and found it in my size. What a relief!

Chinoiserie in Light Blue

There are so many things to love about this dress. But the whole reason I was even attracted to it in the first place was it’s chinoiserie print in this light, almost baby, blue. I have this slight obsession with chinoiserie, thanks to the many other fashion bloggers that I follow. This year it seems that these floral blues have completely taken over the blogging world. It’s almost like every outfit has to have some blue floral in it. I’ll admit that I’ve 100% jumped on the bandwagon. Looking back at my style this year, I’ve had a lot of blues and florals. Maybe it has something to do with wanting (more like needing) to stay calm during this crazy year.

An Everyday Dress

Besides the fact that this print is to die for, the dress is extremely comfortable for wearing everyday. The smocked waist keeps it from being unbearably tight (even after that entire Chipotle buritto). It’s also very light weight and breathable. It seriously doesn’t get any better than this for the everyday casual dress. Throw it on and run out the door for just about any occasion.
