Y’all know I love a good linen dress for summer. It’s the perfect lightweight fabric only rivaled by the thinest of cottons. I remember the first time I discovered just what linen was. Touching linen is something quite heavenly if I have anything to say about it. My first experience with a linen dress had me pining after more. I loved that it could range in weight (much like cotton, it doesn’t have to be thin, it can be thicker) and still keep me cool. As a Floridian, this is of upmost importance in summer.
Since my first encounter, I’ve added a handful of linen dresses to my wardrobe. It’s hard to choose which one is my favorite but there’s certainly a favorite for every occasion. I love this colorblock dress for casual days, this Ruth dress for work, and my new favorite is this botanical maxi. However, the first linen dress I bought is just so classic that I had to share it again. I don’t think it will ever go out of style.

More Linen Dresses to Love
Linen isn’t always the cheapest of fabrics, but it’s definitely worth the investment. Just like cashmere is worth the pretty penny if you live somewhere cold, linen is best for the heat. There are plenty linen dresses that have a blend of fabrics, but pure linen reigns supreme. I particularly love the linen dresses from Reformation, which are a bit more than my personal budget currently allows.
I love Reformation because they are a sustainable brand. Again, I can’t exactly afford their dresses, but I hope to one day be able to shop them more exclusively. This isn’t to say that other, more affordable brands, aren’t making equally as beautiful pieces. I’ve always admired H&M for their quality, affordable prices, and dedication to their conscious line. H&M also has beautiful linen pieces that breath so well, making them perfect for summer.
