Let’s throw it back party people! This retro style skirt will make you want to move and grove. It’s one of my rentals this month from Nuuly and it’s gotten so much attention. (In all the right ways). The blue and green print gives it a retro style that any vintage lover can get behind. Even if retros not your thing, this skirt is great for getting your grove on. It’s made of a knit fabric so the stretch is amazing. Oh, and you can’t miss the pockets. They’re definitely a selling point for every skirt and dress.

I wore this skirt the night of my sibling’s homecoming dance. While the teens were rocking the styles of today, I was throwing it back to a different time. (The styles of today are fitted dresses full of sparkles, if anyone was wondering). While we were waiting for the youngins to get their photos, one of the moms came up to me and asked where I got my skirt from. Keep in mind I am not even close to the best dressed on the block then. She commented how much she liked it and how it reminded her of the 70’s. Which is exactly what I thought when I rented it. I love a little nod back to the past, and this skirt was a modern way to pay tribute to that.

Retro Style
Lilly Pulitzer immediately comes to mind when I think of retro style. While Lilly Pulitzer may not come to mind for everyone, she certainly does for me. When it comes to retro style, her shift dresses were iconic in the 60’s and 70’s, and they’re still iconic today! While the prints have been modernized, there’s still retro flair in it all. And as for the original Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses, they’re still adored and worn today.
