Spring Break 2019 (plus giveaway)

Where did the time go? Spring Break is right around the corner but it seems like 2019 just started yesterday! I remember when I was still in school and preparing spring break trips. We all know, spring break planning starts well before the New Year starts. While I was fine at trip planning, I was terrible at buying things that I would need for my spring break trip. Which is why I’m sharing my must have’s for Spring break and giving these essentials away to one of you lucky readers! Keep reading to learn how to win all the goodies in the picture below!

Spring Break Essentials

Beach Towel // Without a beach towel you’ll be left in the dust! (Ok, actually, the sand). Sandy cheeks is fine in Spongebob, but how many of us really enjoys that? Just using your towel to sit on while at the beach makes it a must have. What I love about beach towels is how they can match your personality perfectly. Whether it’s classic stripes or a fun pineapple (*cough* *cough*), there’s a towel for everyone.

Sunscreen // During spring break the inevitable will happen. Even with generous amounts of sunscreen lathered on all day, I still manage to get a burn. It’s just a special talent of mine. I would be one crispy piece of bacon though if I didn’t use any sunscreen. I prefer scentless sunscreen, which is why I use kids sunscreen. It’s usually scentless, and has less irritants in it, so it’s perfect if you have sensitive skin.

Hat // Whether it’s a giant sunhat or a baseball cap, a hat is a must have. It’s not just to make you look good either! It gives you an extra layer of protection from the sun. The worst sunburns I’ve gotten are when my part gets burned, ouch. With a hat there’s no need to put sunscreen on your head, because it’s already protected from those nasty UV’s.

Water Bottle // Hydration is the key to a great spring break. I prefer an opaque bottle so that you can’t see what liquid is inside…I mean, of course it’s water, right? The water bottle doesn’t just come in handy while you’re living it up during the week though, it’s a great thing to have on the road trip back to fight off any headache, sunburn, or other “post spring break symptoms” you may have.

Bag // If you think you’re going to just carry everything in your arms while on spring break, you’re wrong. You’ll need some sort of bag to carry all these essentials (and more). I love a bigger bag with pockets and a way to filter out any sand that gets in. The sand looks nicest on the beach, not in the car.
