There’s two things I’ve really been enjoying while staying at home and those are, running in the morning and going for a walk later in the day. Sure it might rack up some extra miles by walking later in the day but it’s the only thing that is keeping me sane. What I really enjoy doing for part of those walks is feeding the fish and turtles in the lake outside our place. I’m pretty sure they know when people are going to feed them because they come right up to the side and wait for it. It’s pretty funny and cute. Finding a spring walk outfit proves a little more difficult than picking what I wear to run.
What stays true for every walk though is a pair of sneakers. I’m not trying to kill my feet more than I have to. Skorts are also a great piece to have for a spring walk outfit. They allow you to walk more freely without having to worry about being “lady-like”. (Honestly my favorite thing about skorts is when people tell me “Cute skirt” and I respond with “It’s actaully a skort!” While proceeding to pull it up to show the shorts. Thinking back this is something I’ve done since I was a child in a school uniform. Old habits die hard I suppose).

The Look
Would you believe me if I told you I got this hat in the Target dollar section? It may be a kids hat but I guess that just goes to show I have a small head. Not to mention, you really can’t beat a $3 hat. I honestly love shopping in the kids section and maybe I do it too often. Oh well. I can’t remember where I got this Lilly Pulitzer skort from but my best guess is Platos Closet. The good news is I found this skort in a couple sizes on ebay for the same price that Platos would sell it anyways. I wish Lilly would have kept this skort style. The scallop contrast edge is to die for and I’d buy it in every pattern Lilly has ever made.
