I’ve said it before and I still stand by this statement – tartan is the perfect print for the holidays. So when I saw this tartan jacket available to rent in my size, I immediately snagged it. While I prefer a red tartan for the holidays, this jacket was still so festive. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I wore it in the short month I rented it, and it wasn’t even December yet! I have tried being festive with tartan pants in the past but, they didn’t fit right and I never felt confident when wearing them. Though, had I kept them and they fit properly they would have paired perfectly with this jacket. But oh well.

This jacket was still a hit every time I wore it. Not to mention, the more I wore it, the more I discovered more things in my closet to wear it with. (Jeans, skirts, that velvet top I love but forgot about because it was hidden in the back of my closet). Of all the ways I wore it, I liked it best paired with jeans for a business casual look. Especially when I tucked in this little red dress to wear it as a top. (Nobody’s gonna know. How would they know?)

Tartan Jacket for Work or Play
Like I said, I wore this jacket about 4 or 5 different ways. Whether it was on the weekend or at the office during the week, it was so fun to create festive outfits with. Another way I styled it was with a pleated leather skirt. I was sure to add some bling to it too because you can never have too much sparkle this time of year. While I do wish this jacket was more than just a rental, I know that the novelty of “new” wears off on me pretty quickly. And once the holidays are over it’ll just find it’s way to the back of the closet until next year. At least this way someone else can rent it and enjoy until I inevitably rent it again next year.
