If y’all weren’t already aware, I love baseball and I love the Red Sox! So it was only natural that most of my nights this past week were dedicated to watching the World Series. For those of you that don’t follow baseball I’ll give a quick recap:
- The Boston Red Sox won more games than any other MLB team in the 2017-2018 regular season at 108 wins.
- The Red Sox beat the NY Yankees in their first post season series and beat the defending World Series victors, the Houston Astros, in their second post season series, granting them the honor to play in the 2018 World Series.
- The Red Sox beat the LA Dodgers (previously the Brooklyn Dodgers) to win the World Series in 5.
The Boston Red Sox are the ONLY, ONLY, ONLY.
So of course, I HAD to do an impromptu photo shoot showing off all my Red Sox swag and pride. Just so we’re clear, the mean muggin was 100% necessary because baseball is some serious business! It also just so happens that this rugby dress is perfect for the chilly fall days Florida is having (70 honestly feels like 30). So even if you aren’t a baseball, or sports fan, you can appreciate this outfit (I hope).
Baseball Movies
One last thing. I really love baseball movies and I just have to recommend a couple right now. First and foremost, A League of Their Own. This was the first “baseball movie” I watched and I just fell in love with it all. From the storyline, to the actors/actresses, and of course, the Peaches outfits. Secondly, 42. This is a fantastic movie that really pulls at my heartstrings. It’s all about Jackie Robinson playing for the Dodgers (when they were still in Brooklyn). I think I’ve fallen more in love with this movie since moving to Central Florida because of where some of the storyline takes place. Now when it says they were in DeLand, FL I freak out like, “I know where that is”! I believe 42 was recently added to Netflix so I would highly recommend jumping on that as soon as possible. Last, but certainly not least, The Sandlot. Surprisingly this was not the first baseball movie I saw but one that I quote entirely too much now. And a perfect tidbit for Halloween time, my boyfriend and I dressed up as Squints and Wendy Peffercorn last year for Halloween. Obviously, there are so many other baseball movies out there, these three just so happen to be my favorite. I hope y’all enjoyed a quick look into my little life. Just remember, GO RED SOX!

Danielle, your photo shoot looks like so much fun! I’m a Yankees girl, so I was hesitant to click on this story when I saw it… ;D But I think I can get over it! I love how you styled the rugby dress because it’s stylish and athletic! The movies you recommended are great. The Sandlot has to be my favorite. That movie will never get old, and every time I hear the song “Tequila,” I think of when the boys visited the fair and had a little too much junk food. And let’s not forget, “For-ev-er.” 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
