Travel Essentials when Flying During Covid-19

Hopefully Covid will be soon just be a distant memory. With talks of vaccines, I’m hoping we can finally nip this thing and go back to a relatively normal life. I’ve been blessed so far during this pandemic. I’ve still been able to go to Disney World (once they re-opened), gone to small weddings, and even smaller funerals. To say I’ve traveled a lot via plane during covid would be an understatement. I’ve actually flown far more than I would like. (Even before a pandemic, I was never a fan of flying). Since I’m trying to be extra precautious when flying during covid, the travel essentials you need have changed. Don’t be caught dead without these items when flying right now.

Travel Essentials & Mandatory Items

Not only are the items I highly recommend traveling with now, but there are mandatory items you must have to travel by plane. The most important being A MASK. As far as I know, no airlines have yet lifted their mask policies. On top of that, just because there might not be a mask mandate where you live, there very well could be one where you are going. And just as an FYI if you’re traveling to Orlando, you 100% will need a mask.

While a mask is currently the only mandatory item for flight, there’s a few other things I’m 100% bringing with me now. One of which is travel sized hand sanitizer. Even before lots of places went into lockdown mode I was sure to bring hand sanitizer with me on every Disney trip, shopping outing, and well work. Planes are no different. They are, and always will be germ magnets. If you can mitigate the risk of spreading covid, do it. Even if you aren’t worried about catching it yourself.

I also bring hand sanitizer because bathrooms seem to run out of soap so much faster now. And not washing your hands after using the ladies room is not ok. Something else I’ve also been bringing with me is anti-bacterial wet wipes. I know they say it doesn’t transfer via surface touch but it just makes me feel safer to wipe down the plane tray if Ill be napping on it.

The final travel essential I bring when flying (now and all the time) is a sweater. To keep up good circulation the planes seem to be blasting the cold. Which means I’m freezing (even before I get to Denver). Don’t forget this necessity when flying or you might just turn into a popsicle on your flight.
