Even though Florida has been having an unusually normal winter (normal for everywhere else, not Florida) we’ve still been blessed with some temps in the 70’s and 80’s. Which is why this Valentine’s day outfit features shorts, and not a dress and coat. But fear not, these items can easily be switched out for a more weather appropriate look. More on that later though.

Pink Shorts Valentine’s Day Outfit
You may remember these shorts from a little less than a year ago. I was on the hunt for them for awhile because they are so cute and I needed more solid shorts. (Now I’m on the hunt for a sister pair of shorts that are floral). Then covid hit and all my plans got cut short to wear these. I managed to snag a few outfit photos of them but it was still limited. So why wouldn’t I try to pull them out now to create a Valentine’s day outfit?
I love pairing pink and red together this time of year. It’s the perfect color combination for Valentine’s day. Once I had the shorts and shirt paired it was easy to pick the accessories. Valentine’s day is the perfect holiday for all things novelty. Heart earrings, heart print headband, heart clutch. The more hearts the better. Also shoutout to Katie from Sunshine Style for creating this custom headband! It’s literally perfect.

Styling for Winter Weather
I won’t leave all you non Floridians (and even some Floridians right now) hanging. Shorts just won’t do. Switch out shorts for a pair of pink or red jeans, a neutral top (I like white) and a pop of color with a bright coat. No matter what combination of pink and red you have, everyone will know you mean Valentine’s business. Check out a few of my favorite red and pink items below.
