Unfortunately, I don’t make the kind of money that can afford these brands full price. Which means that I buy these brands on major sale or secondhand months, sometimes even years, after that fashion season has ended. This Vineyard Vines maxi ric rac dress is a prime example of this shopping strategy. It is from the Vineyard Vines 2018 summer collection. Here we are, a year later. Vineyard Vines has teamed up with Target since then, and I finally bought this dress secondhand. It just goes to show, that good things come to people who wait.

My go to way for shopping past seasons is through Poshmark. Poshmark is a simple, easy, and free resale app. It’s especially great for finding specific items. For instance, when looking for this ric rac dress I searched directly in the Vineyard Vines brand section. I then narrowed it down to maxi dresses. Within a short amount of scrolling I found the dress! You can also narrow your search down through size, color, and half a dozen more options. It is seriously amazing. And, I scored this dress for under $50. A total win!
