Welcome to something new on Central Florida Chic! New to me, but the concept certainly isn’t new at all. In fact, sharing daily outfits through quick pics or selfies is where the very start of fashion blogging comes from. I’ve noticed that I take a lot of mirror selfies of my daily outfits. There’s almost always a dirty mirror and room to go with it. It’s the reason I’ve never really liked sharing my daily outfit selfies. But this year I don’t want that to hold me back. Because life is messy and that ok. It’s not always perfectly posed with nice hair and good lighting. Heck, sometimes it’s 8pm and you just got home and there’s no daylight to be found. It’s time to share that side on the blog too. I want to document a week of outfits at least once every month. (Sorry January, I missed you). So to kick off February, here’s my outfits from week 2.1.22!
Outfits 2.1.22
There’s only so many days you can wear a heart coat. Luckily the first of February was literally freezing in Florida. It was the perfect time to wear this coat. And of course under a pink and red skirt combo.
Keeping with the Valentine’s theme, by mid week it had warmed up a bit. So I decided to wear a bright pink dress from Lily Pulitzer. It was a hit at work (almost as much as the heart coat).
I’m in love with this dress by Sister Jane. I’m currently renting it from Nuuly but I love it so much I think I might just buy it. Bonus that I found it on sale right now too. I had my second dress fitting and went out to dinner with my mom after so the selfie is from 8pm at night. Not the best selfie but we’re not going for perfection in these, we’re going for real life. (I did film a TikTok on Friday though with it on so I snapped another one with daylight).
Friday I just wanted to throw something easy on. I knew this pink shift dress was easy enough and comfortable enough for a Friday work day. It’s not a piece I exactly feel amazing in, but it is a piece that will get the job done. It was a hand-me-down from years ago so the dress isn’t exactly easy to find. It’s Saturday so for most of the day I’m just chilling. We’ll be going out for a late lunch later today so I’ll probably change for that. However, for the time being it’s a festive Valentine’s tee and some shorts.
