4th of July Outfit Staples You Have in Your Closet

Happy 4th of July! What a year to have it land on a Saturday. Are you having a BBQ? Going to the beach? Or just chilling at home with some sangria? Whatever your plans are today, you probably want to be sporting some good ol’ red, white, and blue today. Instead of going into the depths of all the red, white, and blue that I own, I’m sharing items that you’re bound to have in your closet too. (Which means it’s probably not going to be the classic 4th of July look). Here’s what to look for in your closet today to put together the perfect patriotic look.

Blue Jeans

This is a bit of a no brain-er. Blue jeans are a classic American staple that I almost guarantee you have somewhere in your closet. I would personally opt for blue jean shorts to combat the heat and humidity of Florida. However, normal blue jeans will work just fine too. Heck if you really want to go crazy, try a pair of white jeans instead.

Red Shirt

Red is one of those colors that look good on everyone. (The only time it might be a little questionable is when I look like a lobster). Because it’s one of those colors that go with every skin tone, you probably have a red shirt in your closet right now. It might even be those coveted Old Navy 4th of July tees.

White Shoes

I love my white sneakers. From my white Keds to my white Nikes and even some heels, I can’t get enough white shoes. Odds are you have a pair of white shoes somewhere in your closet. I actually had a hard time picking what pair of white sneakers I wanted to wear with this outfit. They’re all so comfortable and would go great with this casual look.

Make the 4th of July Your Own

Blue jeans, a red shirt, and some white shoes are just my go to Independence Day combination this year. I usually wear something much dressier but this year I’ve picked casual. Maybe I have Covid to thank for that. No matter the case, there’s plenty of ways to combine red, white and blue today. Opt for a white tee and a pop of red from an accessory. Or maybe choose some white jeans and a printed top. Whatever you choose, make it your own. I’d love to see how you take items from your closet and sport your red, white, and blue today! Tag me in your post so I can see or shoot me an email. I’d love to feature your outfit here throughout the day! Have a great (and safe) 4th of July!
