Summer is the season for sunshine, warmth, and picnics. Truth be told, I’m not really into your average picnic. Sure I love the glamorous ones that people make a living off of. They are beautiful. But I can’t stand bugs and even with a blanket grass irritates me. However, packing up a cooler or basket and blanket and heading to the beach? That is the type of picnic I can get behind! Why am I telling you all this? Great question. I honestly do not know. Probably because this gingham skirt reminds me of a glamour picnic. I felt a little guilty wearing it to a restaurant and not sitting on the grass in it because it is seriously perfect for a picnic.

Asymmetrical Gingham Skirt
While it may not appear to be, this gingham skirt is actually asymmetrical. It looks even more asymmetrical in the photos on Rent the Runway! I was a bit concerned by this as symmetry brings a level of calm to my life. (Minus center parts. Center parts do not work with my flat hair). However, this skirt is a true wrap skirt so I think that helped my brain understand that it was supposed to be a little criss crossed. In all honesty, I can hardly even tell. And my OCD is thankful for that!
