Backless Midi Dress

I’ve recently “discovered” that I dress like a grandma. I like longer dresses and higher necklines. It used to be that summer was a time to show off all the skin. But with my self imposed grandmillennial style, showing off skin isn’t always my thing. But if the shoe fits, I’m certainly ok with showing some skin. Which is where a backless midi dress comes in. It’s the perfect amount of grandma and sass for summer.

Now there’s nothing wrong with mini dresses or crop tops. I actually wear both frequently. But when it comes to dressing for work, I tend to keep my hemlines long. Even at work there’s room for play though. A backless midi dress is still professional for the office, even more so in summer. I picked up this Glamorous dress last year and still can’t get over the gorgeous print or the bow in the back. I was actually influenced by one of my favorite creators, Shayla, over at La Vie SPG. This dress has gone in an out of stock for well over a year, but I think it’s finally sold out for good. While it’s sad, it has opened up the door to find a new backless midi dress for summer.
