Chinoiserie Babydoll Top with White Pants

I am a sucker for chinoiserie. I was first introduced to this blue print a few years ago. Chinoiserie seems to be all the rage of grand millennials. Of which I follow many. So it was only a matter of time until this beloved print found it’s way into my heart. It’s probably one of the reasons I love blue florals so much. That being said, finding a true chinoiserie print on clothing can be a bit difficult. It’s more likely found throughout home decor and trinkets. Which is totally fine. I just want it printed on a dress, or a skirt, or this top will do too. When you do find this print on clothes, it tends to be more high end. Which means I can’t always afford it. Luckily, this top is on sale right now for under $50!

Chinoiserie Top Review

I first rented this top from Nuuly (so if you don’t want to commit to the shirt, I get you). But as time has gone on, the sale price has been going down at Anthropologie. It should be noted that since this is a babydoll cut, it’s not a fitted shirt. It’s very loose and oversized. (I tried the XS and it was extremely roomy). I think I would have preferred it being tighter just under the bust. Especially since I couldn’t wear a bra with it because of the low cut. But for hot summer days, it was actually nice to not have something hug my body so tightly. While it was low cut it doesn’t have what I consider a plunge neckline, which is also good. Overall the embroidery on this top is just so lovely and delicate. IT’s a casual top with some detailed charm for sure.
