As one may imagine, I’m a sucker for a short sleeve sweater. They’re a great substitute for long sleeves and still achieve that fall feeling. This is especially true in Florida. Now, I haven’t owned a short sleeve sweater in quite some time. I gave up a lot of clothes when I graduated college, and my favorite short sleeve sweater was one of them. It was royal blue with white bows printed on it. A total classic. Why I got rid of it? I couldn’t tell you. But that’s ok, because now I can try new ones instead.
I thought I’d rent a short sleeve sweater from Nuuly to give it a try. This classic navy stripe sweater with buttons was too good to pass up. I liked it on the model, but I loved it more than I thought I would. Do you know that feeling? Where you like something but you don’t think you’re going to be head over heels for it, and then you are. It’s an awesome feeling. (But also kind of sucks when you’re just renting).

Ways to Wear a Short Sleeve Sweater
When I added this sweater to my Nuuly I had 3 ways to wear it in mind. Besides this look with the skirt, which is very parisian, you can pair it with pants or even a short sleeve dress. Consider these combinations below.
- Beret, Sweater, Textured Skirt, Booties. (Pictured in this post) – This is a great outfit option for Florida. It doesn’t require layering and the booties can easily be switched for flats or heels.
- Short Sleeve Dress, Sweater. – This outfit is a great way to transition your summer dresses to fall.
- Pants, Sweater, Blazer, Flats, Headband. – For another classic look, try pairing this sweater with pants and flats. It would be the perfect fall work outfit.
