If you haven’t pick up on this yet, I really struggle with Fall clothes. Florida is really a different ballgame when it comes to seasons and fall is no exception. You want those nice cooler temperatures in the morning during September and October? Don’t move to Florida. Even if they end up being “cool” they’l still be extremely humid so you can’t enjoy it. This makes it hard to come up with fall outfits. Fall fashion relies on things like thicker fabrics, long sleeves, jackets, and scarves. Many of which can be hard to wear in Florida. Which is why I wanted to put together a guide for the Florida girl that are full of cute fall outfit ideas. Don’t let the seasons get you down (or the lack of seasons). We can find plenty of creative ways to still put together fall outfits.

3 Cute Fall Outfit Ideas
Alright let’s dive in. (PS: Yes pools are still open in Florida so pun intended!) Hopefully you are able to really rock some of these outfits even though they have a lot of fall elements in them. (Sweaters, layers, other fall vibes). Luckily I work inside so I am able to start layering. I always feel guilty about bringing a sweater in spring and summer because it is so warm outside. However, once fall and winter roll around I don’t feel as bad for bringing or wearing layers to work.
Outfit 1 – Black Shirt-dress and Booties
Why it works for Florida: A Shirt dress is designed of a lightweight, often cotton, material. Which means that even though it’s still warm outside, you’ll stay cool. I picked a black dress and some short booties to make it more fall. Another great way to make it fall appropriate (and look less like a death march) is by adding some fun animal prints to it.

Outfit 2 – Denim & Sweater
Why it works for Florida: Did she just say a sweater? I know, who am I wearing a sweater in (basically) the dead of summer still. But hear me out. Denim shorts Or skirts and a polo or button up is already a great outfit on it’s own. It’s also very summer. Whether you’re doing virtual school, in person school, or working from home though this is a great way to make your outfit work for fall. Just pull on a sweater over that collar and you’re automatically more fall. I paired my skirt with my favorite cardigan of all time. And the only reason I have this sweater is because I bought it while living in Virginia.

Outfit 3 – A Floral Dress
Why is works for Florida: Clearly just about any dress is still going to be weather appropriate right now in Florida. However yo can make it more fall by using muted tones throughout the dress. This dress from the Gal Meets Glam collection is a great use of muted colors. If you ask me, this is a cute fall outfit that tops all the other ideas (but that’s just how I roll).
