For those of you that may struggle with math, measuring, or sewing, I can understand how last weeks DIY Tulle Skirt may have been a little challenging. Because of that, I thought I would share a super simple Disney Shirt DIY for Valentine’s Day.
There are two ways you can go about doing this DIY Disney Shirt. I (of course) chose the more complicated way. But it’s really not complicated at all. You can either choose to make a stencil and paint the graphic on the shirt, or you can choose to iron on the graphic. (Both methods are included in the download for Cricut below). Keep reading for instructions on both methods.
Supplies
For Paint : Cricut Stencil Material // T-shirt // Fabric Paint // Paint Brush (I chose a foam brush so that I could dab cleanly) // Cardboard (Any piece to go inside the shirt will do)
For Iron On : Cricut Iron On Material // T-Shirt // Iron
Steps to Make your DIY Disney Shirt Graphic Tee
Fabric Paint
1.Upload the SVG File “ValentinesMickeyStencil” to Cricut.
2. Set your Cricut Stencil Material and begin to cut your Stencil.
3. Place cardboard within shirt.
4. Peal Stencil and place in desired area on shirt. You should place two pieces of stencil on the shirt. The main graphic, and the outside perimeter. Make sure stencil is firmly on the shirt.
5. Begin to dab on the fabric paint to your stencil. Follow up with a second coat to make sure area is firmly covered.
6. Remove stencil carefully as to not misplace any paint. You shouldn’t wait too long to remove the stencil as it might pull up dry paint from the shirt.
7.Follow instructions on the paint for permanent hold on shirt.
One Two Four Five
Iron-On
One // Upload the SVG File “ValentinesMickeyIronOn” to Cricut.
Two // Set Cricut Iron On material and begin to cut.
Three // Begin to heat up iron and prepare your t-shirt.
Four // Place your completed iron on in desired area of shirt and follow Cricut instructions for iron on.
Your DIY Disney Shirt is Complete!
Now you have a super adorable, perfect for Valentine’s Day (or just wearing for the love of Disney) t-shirt! I’d love if Disney released more shirts like this but for now, I’ll just be making my own.
