Fall can really be a tricky time of year for me. I’d say I’ve always liked fall and love halloween in particular. But since moving back to Florida fall can be kind of lack luster. I mean, everything stays green after all. (At least, until it’s winter for everyone else it does). I’m actually a bit upset with myself because I didn’t really find my love of fall and fall fashion until I had moved back south. This new found love of fall fashion is really only manifest in collages. But with my love of fall fashion comes the love of fall colors. While I’ve always loved green (it’s my favorite color) my other favorite fall colors are orange and brown. (I know, it sounds icky, but it’s not in fall).

Fall colors are about the only thing I can use to my advantage in Florida this time of year. Long sleeves, pants, and boots tend not to make the cut until December. But just because I can’t enjoy all the other aspects of fall fashion doesn’t mean that you have to. Go out and wear these outfits for me until I can myself. (And be sure to snap a picture too!)
Fall Colors in Fashion
I think the reason I love greens, oranges, and browns in fall is because they mimic the changing leaves. While trees also turn a fiery red in fall, I like clothes to be more muted. (Trees should be able to have their stand out moments this time of year without us trying to upstage them). While these colors can be found in nature, it’s nice to incorporate them into your wardrobe. I’m a strong believer that the best fashion inspo comes from the world around us. And during fall, that means the leaves on the trees.
