Alright, back on the fall trends. After that last post about a maxi dress clearly designed for summer I figured, let’s make it a little more friendly for those folks up north. (I know up north isn’t really experiencing too much cold weather yet but you can never shop too early for a season). This fall gingham maxi dress is just the epitome of fall to me. The print is clearly to die for and the sleeves with the bows? Just cast me for Little House on the Prairie! (Ok, I know it’s not exactly like that. But that’s certainly how I feel wearing it). Seriously though, I can’t get over how retro, vintage, and country this dress makes me feel.

Fall Gingham Maxi
I found this dress on one of my first trips back to TJ Maxx after they re-opened. It was about the only thing I found that TJ Maxx trip (which is honestly almost unheard of for me). With dressing rooms closed and this dress not being my typical size, I was a little worried how it would fit. Would it be to big? Did I buy it to small? And God what about the length! What if it was too long? All these fears were put to rest after trying it on at home. As for the length? Well, it’s technically a midi dress which means this fall gingham print makes the perfect maxi on me.

What’s unique about this dress is the gingham sleeves are lined with a striped fabric, and so is the belt. A lot of the dresses that I can find are pure gingham. I’m not really complaining though. One of the reason I was drawn to the dress in the first place was the gingham and stripe mix.
