We’ve been getting a lot of rain in the Florida lately. Even though the weather outside is frightful(ly hot & humid!) the temperature inside the office seems to be getting colder and colder. This has caused me to switch up what I wear in the office. Just because it’s still Summer doesn’t mean I’m not wearing a fall work outfit. This doesn’t change my wardrobe too drastically, but it does mean switching from sleeveless blouses to button downs. Just this small change is enough to keep me warm in the office & not sweating (too much) outside.
Fall Work Outfit
Button downs are my go to when it comes to fall and winter office wear. They are great pieces to layer under a blazer or sweater as temperatures lower. With a wide variety from bold colors and prints to muted neutrals, there’s a button down for everyone. I love how easy it is to get dressed in the morning with a fall work outfit. Choose a button down, choose a skirt (or some pants) and that’s it! It hardly requires thinking. Which in the morning is exactly what I’m trying to do.
A great way to play up a simple work outfit is with some fun accessories and patterns. This green gingham print is one of my favorite tops thats both professional and comfortable. I added some classic pearls and a Kate Spade bow belt to pull this look all together.

This skirt is one of my many Goodwill work wear finds! Honestly, the majority of my work wear is thrifted. Classic work pieces are something that just never go out of style, making it easy to find at thrift stores. Besides, I’m really not into paying over $50 for a plain skirt or dress pants. I’d much rather spend that on Lilly.
