Getting into the Holiday Spirit with a Tartan Skirt

We are officially halfway through November. Which sadly means it’s time for me to pack up my skeletons and move on from Halloween. After all, Thanksgiving is next week. (How?! How did this happen?). The good news is, I can still watch the Nightmare Before Christmas for awhile. The bad news is, I’m still not really prepared for the Christmas season. So to force myself to get excited, I’ve decided to pull out my tartan skirt & start getting festive.

Fun story about this tartan skirt. Maddy from Confetti Closet shared it last December and I just had to have it. It was on sale for a great price and so perfect for the holidays. Clearly I ordered it right away. So after being all excited about the great price & patiently waiting for tracking to update…the package went cold.

It said package delivered…but it hadn’t been delivered to Florida. Or anywhere close to Florida (I believe it said it was in Texas). After contacting both the shipping company and the store and not learning anything new… (Was it just lost? Did it get delivered to the wrong place?) I was refunded my money. Which mind you is super great BUT now they were out of my size so there was no hope for re-ordering. Fast forward a few weeks and a mystery package arrives. Clearly something happened in the shipping process to make everyone believe the skirt was gone forever. So to make a long story short, this tartan skirt was basically free. But it was not worth the anxiety and disappointment of believing I wouldn’t get it.

Wearing Tartan After the Holidays

Tartan Skirt for Christmas

Tartan is pretty much my favorite Christmas print. Even after Christmas tartan is a great pattern to wear for winter. However, classic red tartan is my go to during the holiday season, which is why this skirt is perfect. I can’t wait to style it with so much more before the holidays are over. (Did someone say tartan on tartan? We’ll see what happens 😉).
