How to Support Small Businesses in a Pandemic

So I was supposed to have a post today about visiting Los Angeles & California for the first time, but covid had other ideas. 🙄 With all the research I did to figure out where I wanted to go when I was in LA, I probably still could have posted it. However, I feel like it’s totally not relevant right now. I know I’m not the only who canceled travel plans because of covid. So instead I figured I’d post something semi relevant. Though I have to admit, I don’t really want to be relevant when it comes to covid. I’d much rather not even mention it all. However, if I’m going to mention it I’m going to try and focus on the positives from it. Like how you can support small businesses during this hectic time.

Best Ways to Support Small Businesses

I’m all for supporting small businesses. Though admittedly, I can easily get wrapped up in large corporations. I do love my brand names after all. But that doesn’t mean I don’t shop small either. I love using sites like Etsy and online boutiques to find unique clothing.

Buy from Them

This is the most obvious way to support small businesses. If you can financially support local shops, food places, and boutiques through a purchase I highly encourage it. Especially during current events it could help feed someones family or keep a business from closing. But rest assured there’s more ways to support small businesses than just financially.

Share them on Social

Let it be known that social media support goes so far these days. A simple like, share, or comment on any social media platform can work wonders. It’s a free and easy way to support your favorite small businesses and get them discovered by new people.

My Favorite Small Businesses & Boutiques

I’ve shared before a few of my favorite affordable online boutiques before but I wanted to reiterate. Not to mention there’s so many gorgeous new arrivals that I had to show you. I’ve also found a few new online boutiques that are up and coming and new to me.

The Blue Door Boutique

I absolutely love The Blue Door because they are super affordable and have so many cute styles for everyone. My one pet peeve with a lot of boutiques is they can tailor to one trend or style, but the Blue Door reaches everyone. Here’s a few of my current favorite styles.

Red Dress

Hands down the online boutique that has the most variety. Unfortunately, they can get a little pricey at times. But overall they are generally affordable. Here are my fav items from them right now. Get ready because it’s a lot!

Confetti Boutique

This is one of my new favorite boutiques started by a blogger I’ve always loved following, Maddy from the Confetti Closet. She just recently opened her own online boutique and her picks are just to die for. Maddy is also so sweet and reached out to me about a discount code for y’all to use. You can use code “Danielle15” for 15% off your purchase (ps: they are also having 20% off dresses today, April 9th!) Here are my favorites that you have to check out.

Mint Julip

Last but not least, another new discovery of mine is the Mint Julip Boutique. What I really love about boutiques is while a lot of them do sell many of the same brands, they always have their own flair. I am loving these items below.
