How to Wear Bright Pink Shorts

Oh yes, I’m bringing out these bright pink shorts for the rest of the summer. Where to even begin with them? If you’ve been following along the past few months you’ll know that this style is one of my all time favorites. The cut of these shorts are classy and timeless. The bright pink color on the other hand…maybe not so much. Today I wanted to share a few tips for wearing bright colored shorts this summer. These tips will keep you looking elegant throughout the summer not matter how bright your shorts will be.

Tips for Styling Bright Colors

Here are just a few tips to help mellow out any bright colors you might wear this summer. Not that there’s anything wrong with standing out but, I don’t like to clash.

  1. Mix with subtle prints & colors – I know Lilly isn’t exactly the first thought that comes to mind for subtle, but I do think that any of the Lilly Pulitzer Dusk Tops work well with bright colored shorts. Even ones with a pattern tend to be more muted than many other Lilly prints, which is why they are perfect with bright shorts.
  2. Avoid other bright colors – Unless you’re going for a monochromatic look, I’d avoid pairing bright colors together. Neon green with these bright pink shorts would have me looking like a highlighter.
  3. Stick with Classic White – When in doubt, throw on a white shirt with bright pink shorts (or any bright shorts). It’ll still be bright but also classic.

My Favorite Ways to Wear Bright Pink Shorts

I’ve loved being able to style these bright pink shorts endlessly since I bought them last year. They go so well with so much of my closet and it’s always just so fun. They are the perfect high waist so they pair great with items like a romper or mini dress. I love being able to style a romper or dress as a top. The more way to wear items in my closet, the better! Here’s just a few of my favorite ways that I’ve worn these shorts since I’ve had them.
