“You can’t stop it from happening so you may as well celebrate”
I realized I was spending all this time worrying about what will happen when I get old, or what new challenges will come with getting just one year older, that I was forgetting to just live. So this year I decided I am celebrating! I put on a sparkly dress, some sparkly shoes and even contemplated wearing a tiara out (I voted against it, I know I’m a princess already!) and hit the town with a friend for drinks!
I just have to tell you about this classic bar that we went to. It’s called Mathers Social Gathering. It has such a timeless vibe and they even have a dress code, which I ADORE. It makes for a classy night out and it is just so fitting with the ambiance of the bar. It is definitely going on my recommendations list if you’re visiting Orlando! It’s been a couple days since we went and I still can’t get over how great it was! (I would show you more pictures but they also have a strict no professional camera rule. So if you want to see how perfect it is definitely click the link for their photos)
I scored this dress from T.J. Maxx a couple months ago but you can find it here on the Free People website. This dress combines a fun youthful vibe but with a very classic fit (the empire waist? LOVE). These shoes are Michael Kors but I actually found them at Ross a couple years back. I’m not usually one for wearing pumps, especially for extended periods of time, but these are seriously the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn. Both this dress and these shoes are a great example of how you can find some great brands and deals without spending your whole paycheck on an outfit. If you did the math for both of these items full price this outfit it over $200. I promise you, I paid no more than $80 in total for this entire outfit (which might actually be pushing it because I do not remember exactly how much I got these shoes for). This outfit is also great for the New Year.
How do you guys feel about birthdays? Do they make you anxious too? If they do I hope the little words of wisdom I heard help you feel more settled about them like it did for me!
